Mark’s nationality is Mexican and Colombian and spent many years growing up both countries providing a strong cultural grasp of these strategic partners. After serving more than a decade under CA governor Gray Davis, Mark launched an international business in Latin America where he operated a global supply chain consisting of commodity goods. He is a current member of the CA Coastal Commission and deeply engaged in CA policy.

Sam is a crop scientist who studied horticulture under world-renown plant scientist Dr. Cary Mitchell at Purdue University. He has deep expertise in hydroponics, LED lighting, propagation, and all aspects of plant production. He has worked on all types of crops during his career with a strong emphasis on cannabis cultivation. Sam acted as lead consultant to NASA working on their strategy for growing live plants on the International Space Station.
